IMPACT OF MIDWIFERY ON GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES’ BUDGETS
When the CPM is used as the state credential for midwives practicing out-of-hospital government agencies can:
- Avoid spending valuable staff time to validate the education of midwives who practice primarily out-of-hospital settings.
- Avoid test construction and maintenance cost associated with the creation of a licensure examination.
- Save the cost of test administration.
- Save the costs for monitoring continued education for re-licensure.
- Provide a standard of reciprocity for midwives moving into your state.
